After 20 years of presence MitsidesPoint has been established as one of the leading producer of pasta in Serbia, as well as in the neighboring Balkan countries. Our products can also be found in European as well as Middle Eastern markets, under our own brand names or under Private Label brands.
 

Mitsides Point holds one of the leading positions in the Serbian dry  pasta products market. At its headquarters in Sremska Mitrovica, the company operates a  fully automated dry pasta factory. Can you tell us more about your company profile and products?

Mitsides point is in 100% ownership of Mitsides Public Cyprus, the leader in flour and pasta market. Here in Sremska Mitrovica the company operates with 2 fully automated lines, one for long and one for short dry pasta production. The production capability is 50 tons per day which makes MitsidesPoint one of the biggest producer of pasta in Serbia. Our brands are “Panona pasta” which is made from soft wheat semolina and belongs to economy pasta line  and “Panona Durum pasta” that is made from imported durum semolina and belongs to the premium quality sector

Next year the Mitsides Point celebrates the 20 years of presence in the Serbian market. Have the initial expectations of the investors been met?

During his official visit to Belgrade, the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, visited your production facilities together with the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, Tomislav Momirovic. How important is this visit for your operations in Serbia?

It was a great honor to host his excellency the President of Cyprus as well as the Serbian Minister of Trade Mr Momirovic at our production premises last month. His visit strengthens the bilateral relations between the two countries.

What would you highlight as the main advantage of the Mitsides Point compared to other companies in the same industry?

During the last 90 years that Mitsides Group is engaged in pasta, we have inherited the vast knowledge and experience  which we have developed and adjusted to meet the demands of the Serbian consumer. Also, another great advantage is our geographic position, raw material sources in neighborhood  and central Balkan position with possibility for export at all continents.

What are your plans for future business development in the coming years?

Our main goal is to expand our exports, increase production of the Private label products while maintaining and even enhance the quality of our products. Our aim is to increase production capacity and enrich our product portfolio

Last month the Hellenic Businesses Association of Serbia celebrated its 20th anniversary. What does the Association represent for you and, as an active member, are you satisfied with its work?

We are really satisfied with HBA work. Hellenic Association is a great networking place which contributes  to the strengthening of the business relations amongst its members.
